not approved to be used. >> official nfl gear will have a hologram on it, tags and higher price tag. the nfl gets a cut of the satisfies and distributes it among the franchises including of course the 49ers. san jose police are looking for several people they say stabbed and killed a man in his 30s. he was stabbed in the kenwood neighborhood. police are looking for four suspects between the ages of 18 and 20. this is san jose's second homicide this week and the third of the year. on wednesday a woman was shot and killed in her condo near tully road. san jose officers have arrested one of the suspects in a brazen home invasion robbery that happened on monday. that's according to the san jose "mercury news." officers say two or three men armed with knives tied up an older couple in their home near leeland high school. the home was ransacked and two cars were stolen. both cars have been found.

one was driven to the uvas reservoir. a number of east bay businesses could be shut down over gambling. state officials say five internet cafes in alameda county are nothing more than illegal gambling operations. now the state and the county are trying to get them closed for good. the cafes don't hide what people are doing inside. you can see customers there at one of the cafes playing sweepstakes games including video slot machines and poker. the state says they are illegal operations. but one of the owners says he will sue to keep his cafes open. >> we're a computer time. we give them free sweepstakes. >> they told us they are creating jobs. what they didn't tell us is they are creating crime. at this site there's been over a dozen arrests. >> the county hopes to close them within a few months but lawsuits could delay that.

the obama administration's effort to pass new gun control legislation. reporter: vice president joe biden is heading to virginia today to try to gain public support for president obama's gun control proposals. >> it's not about keeping bad guns out of the hands of good people. it's about keeping all guns out of the hands of bad people. >> reporter: on capitol hill thursday gun victims and law enforcement officers joined a group of democratic lawmakers as dianne feinstein announced her own bill which would eliminate high capacity magazines and ban assault weapons. >> military-style assault weapons have but one purpose, and in my view that's a military purpose. >> reporter: the lawmakers say the shooting at sandy hook elementary school shows that assault weapons need to be banned. >> a number of the police who came to newtown said to me, we could not have stopped that shooter even with the body armor we were wearing with that kind of assault weapon. >> reporter: but vice president biden downplayed the need for

an assault weapons ban thursday. he says those weapons are only used in a small percentage of crimes. >> i'm much less concerned quite frankly about what you call an assault weapon than i am about magazines and the number of rounds that can be held in a magazine. >> reporter: and even sponsors of the bill acknowledge an assault weapons ban is a tough sell on capitol hill. >> we owe it to our constituents and our country to try. >> reporter: the nra calls the feinstein bill a wrong headed approach and says gun bans don't work. susan mcginnis, cbs news, washington. while introducing her bill, senator feinstein got personal. she talked about the day george moscone and harvey milk were assassinated at san francisco city hall. i was the one that found supervisor milk's body and put a finger in a bullet hole

"friday light" so far heading towards the incline section towards treasure island. elsewhere to our maps and other live traffic cameras. this is the nimitz. both directions of 880 still roadwork in lanes northbound and southbound between 980 and 66. close to the coliseum. and just a quick heads up that eastbound roadwork on highway 84 the dumbarton should wrap up in the next hour and a half close to 6:00. that is traffic. back to you guys. >> thank you. new details on a shootinger in a bart station earlier this week. police now say two albany high school students were shot wednesday when they were asked about their shoes. it happened on a walking path near the el cerrito bart station after school had let out. police did not elaborate on the nature of the shooters. those two teens are expected to recover. the two gunmen are still on the loose. in other headlines around the bay this morning, a warning to parents and students in antioch after a man tried to lure a boy into his car.

that happened after school yesterday near sutter elementary school. the stranger approached the boy claiming he was sent by a family member to pick him up. the student quickly walked away. the man has gray hair, driving a light blue '70s era car. in san francisco, police are looking for the robbers you can see here in the surveillance video. investigators say these two men pulled a gun on workers and stole prescription drugs last week from two pharmacies one in the richmond district, the other in the sunset. no one was hurt. the sharks are back. they are celebrating a win. last night they played the phoenix coyotes in the first nhl home game in more than nine months while fans have missed the hockey, restaurant owners say they have missed the booming business that the sharks bring to downtown san jose. the sharks won last night 5-3. bart trains are getting new security equipment that will also help riders stay connected. the "san francisco chronicle" reports bart is buying communications devices that will send live video from the

over the weekend cooling down the temperatures. so going to leave things unsettled and colder for the weekend. these temperatures dropping off. that will probably be the main weather story throughout the weekend. clouds and showers mainly over the mountains especially toward the afternoon. then that slides on through and that next system comes in. that will bring with it a few more clouds and slight chance of showers as we head in toward saturday. around the state you will see 60s in the central valley, 40s in the high country. our bay looking at 50s and 60s for highs. looks like the next couple of days maybe looking more impressive than it will be. not going to see that much rain but there's a slight chance of scattered showers on saturday and sunday. drier weather returns and it will be warmer as we head in toward the middle of next week. that's a look at weather. let's check on traffic with elizabeth. >> thank you, lawrence. the roads are still slick a lot of rain headed our way. let's check the san mateo bridge first westbound 92 no problems both directions across
